Forget canned pasta! You can make your own pretty easily! This is a great recipe for your kids to help with.

Canned Food Meatballs
Love the little meatballs that come with your favorite canned chef's food? Now you can make your own!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbs Italian seasoning
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbs vegetable oil
- ½ tsp salt (You can use seasoned salt)
- ½ tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ (175℃).
- Combine the bread crumbs and the milk, and allow the bread crumbs to absorb the milk.
- Add all the other ingredients and combine well.
- Form into small meatballs, about ½ inch (1.5 cm) in diameter.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pan (cast iron is ideal).
- When the oil is hot, add a layer of meatballs. Do not add so many that they touch.
- Bake in a preheated oven 15 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven, flip the meatballs, and bake an additional 10-15 minutes, or until done.
- When done, remove to a paper towel lined plate.
- Add the second batch of meatballs to the pan and repeat until all the meatballs are done.
