Salt-Free Cajun Seasoning Blend
Most commercial cajun seasoning blends are mostly salt. Make your own for more flavor, less salt, and less cost.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup garlic (granulated)
- 5 Tbs paprika
- 2 Tbs black pepper (freshly ground)
- 2 Tbs onion powder
- 1 Tbs cayenne pepper ((or to taste))
- 2 Tbs oregano (dried)
- 2 Tbs thyme (dried)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients and store in a tightly sealed jar
Notes
You can adjust the amount of cayenne depending on how hot you want your mix.
1/4 cup is equal to 4 tablespoons, so when measuring the paprika, I just measure out 1/4 cup plus an additional tablespoon.
You can easily scale this recipe up or down. Just change "tablespoons" to your preferred measurement.
