Instructions
Turn the Instant Pot on to "sautè". Add the bacon.
Cook the bacon, stirring often, until it has released a fair amount of fat.
Press "Cancel" on the Instant Pot and add five cups of water.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot, set the valve to "Sealing", and cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.
At the end of 45 minutes, allow it to natural release for 10-15 minutes.
Release the pressure and remove the lid.
If the beans seem to be very watery, set the Instant Pot to "Sautè" and cook until the water is reduced.
Use a potato masher or an immersion blender to mash the beans.
